Supporting the ProvGM at Provincial Events 2024

R.W. Bro. Eddy Garty announced he would retire as the Provincial Grand Master in October next year, but before that, he will be especially busy this year, out and about in the Province.

He would really appreciate support when he is on official visits.

We will also have a number of social events during the forthcoming season where an opportunity to attend and support Eddy would also be appreciated.

I have listed below the official visits Eddy will be making and the social events as well; if you could make any of these visits or events in support of Eddy, it would be part of a combined show of gratitude for Eddy’s seven-year commitment as our PGM.

  • On Thursday 4th April, Eddy will attend the Middlesex Installed Commanders Lodge meeting at Twickenham; you do not need to be a past commander but will obviously be required to be a Royal Ark Mason to attend.
  • The Emblems of Service Lodge of MMM will be hosting next year’s St George Day Supper on the Thursday 25th April at Mark Masons Hall; this is always a great night out incorporating the best of British food and good old sing-a-long, all your favourites with the backing music, one not to be missed.
  • Eddy will be the presiding President of the Grand Masters Lodge of Instruction meeting on Tuesday 30th April, a tremendous honour and one we, as Middlesex men, should embrace. Grosvenor Lodge of Mark Master No. 144 will host the meeting when a very high-profile Middlesex Craft mason will be advanced into our Order. Further details and Booking Form HERE
  • The Middlesex Armed Forces Mark Lodge will consecrate a Royal Ark Mason’s Lodge on Friday 31at May to be held at the infamous Union Jack Club, Waterloo.
  • The Prince Michael of Kent Lodge of Mark Master Masons will hopefully dedicate their banner at Mark Masons Hall in July, but the date will be released once confirmed.
  • Sunday 29th September – The Provincial Grand Masters Luncheon – Stanmore Golf Club
  • Monday 7th October – Our PGM will visit Exedra Lodge of MMM, No. 1138, which will meet at Mark Mason’s Hall for his last official engagement. Eddy will carry out a Bible Dedication Ceremony.

Brethren, I hope you agree that this is a fully packed, interesting and exciting year ahead. There is something there for everyone, both in content and location. The executive team has been keen to cater to everyone’s needs. I will send out all the appropriate notices and booking forms. For all the above events as they unfold.

Please, Brethren, do try and participate in as many of these events as possible; the Mark degree is known as the friendly degree. We do our best to put these events on so we can meet as friends on a Masonic and social front.

Kindest regards

Peter Hyde

Deputy Provincial Grand Master for the Mark Province of Middlesex
