On Thursday 18th February 2021 members of Exedra Lodge of Mark Master Masons No. 1138 delivered a quantity of energy bars, drinks and chocolate to the Homerton Hospital in Hackney, which falls within the old county of Middlesex, and therefore within the Mark Province of Middlesex.
Due to the ongoing crisis of Covid-19, the hospital currently has 17 wards of Covid-19 patients and the delivery was to say thank you to the NHS Staff who are working so hard to treat the patients and to suppress the pandemic.
On making the delivery the hospital told us that they had run out of items such as these and that they would be taking them straight out to the wards to be given to the staff.
We are aware that other lodges are organising deliveries to West Middlesex Hospital, Northwick Park Hospital and St. Peter’s Hospital.
