Supporting Blood Bikes in London & Middlesex
A few weeks ago, the family of a neighbour was involved in a serious accident. Urgently needing blood, their chances of survival looked slim with London traffic holding up deliveries. Thankfully, a local Blood Bikes charity depot was nearby — and their swift response saved a life.
This story highlights just how vital Blood Bikes are. Entirely run by volunteers, they transport blood, urgent samples, medical supplies, and even donated breast milk to hospitals across the UK, as well as restocking Air Ambulances daily. All of this is provided free of charge to the NHS.
The charity urgently needs more bikes to serve London and Middlesex, and we believe this is a worthy cause for our Province of Middlesex Mark Master Masons to support. Together, we can help them save many more lives.

Brethren,
This truly is a worthy cause. Just a few weeks ago, a family member of my neighbour was involved in a serious accident. It was touch and go for a while — he urgently needed blood and, with heavy traffic in London, it seemed unlikely that supplies would reach him in time. Thankfully, a local Blood Bikes charity depot was close by and able to respond quickly, helping to save his life.
Having looked into this remarkable charity, I discovered they urgently need more bikes to serve London and Middlesex. I believe this is a most worthwhile cause for our Province of Middlesex Mark Master Masons to support, enabling us to help fund one or even two new bikes — and in doing so, help save many more lives.
If you feel able to support this life-saving charity, you will find a link on this page to complete a donation promise online. Alternatively, a paper form is available to download and print. Once completed, please send it to our Provincial Grand Charity Steward, whose contact details are included in the introduction letter.
If you donate online, may I kindly ask that you also inform our Charity Steward of your payment. Should you have any questions or difficulties completing the form, please do not hesitate to telephone him for assistance.
May I take this opportunity to thank you in advance for your support and generosity.
Kind regards,
Peter Hyde
Provincial Grand Master
