PMK Lodge Banner Dedication Report & Photos

Prince Michael of Kent Lodge of Mark Master Masons, No. 1720 – Banner Dedication – Thursday 7th July, 2022

Over 150 Mark and Craft masons attended the Banner Dedication of Prince Michael of Kent Lodge, No. 1720 on 7th July 2022 in the Grand Temple at Mark Masons Hall.

PMK was founded in 1994 as the Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge for the Mark Province of Middlesex.

After the lodge business was conducted, the Provincial delegation paraded in, and the Worshipful Master, VW Bro Tom D’Souza, then vacated the chair for the Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro Edward Garty, who conducted the banner ceremony.

All the Provincial Executive and a large number of special guests were in attendance.

After the banner had been presented around the Temple, the Provincial Grand Chaplain, W Bro Ian Wassell, gave an oration, explaining the history of banners in general, and this one in particular.

Prior to commencement of the meeting, craft members of the Province were invited, so that they could witness the ceremony and find out more about the Mark Degree, and 45 attended.

They were shown the new video “Magic of the Mark” and had the opportunity of meeting the Provincial Grand Master and other distinguished brethren.

The Grand Master for Mark, MW Bro HRH Prince Michael of Kent was due to attend, but unfortunately, circumstances prevented him on the day and he sent his apologies and good wishes.

Nevertheless, the ceremony and Festive Board were enjoyed by those who attended.
