The Home of Rugby Mark Lodge (Lodge Number 901, previously Kenton Mark Lodge) met at Twickenham Masonic Centre recently to put their unique rugby spin to their Masonic proceedings. 

Under the watchful eye of the Middlesex Provincial Grand Master, R.W. Bro. Peter Hyde, a good team took to the field at the Installation Meeting to install the new Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Victor Burton. 

Since the players’ health was key to tackling the conditions in and around the field of play, the decision was made to allow more casual dress on this occasion. 

The PGM commented ahead of the meeting that if players were expected to make it to the field, then some allowances should be made for temperatures on this occasion. 

Short sleeved shirts, shorts and no jackets therefore became the accepted kit. 

The Members of the Lodge, clearly appreciating the dress down Friday rules of the game, are shown opposite before lodge members retired from the field of play to celebrate another well-deserved win for the Home of Rugby Masonic Lodge, the sport of rugby in general, and for the home to Home of Rugby Lodge in particular.

The new Worshipful Master is shown above proudly holding the ball after having called time on the match, supported by the members of the Lodge. 

It was agreed by all that the sport of rugby was alive and kicking in Twickenham, itself the home of rugby.
