St Georges Day Celebrations Report

Wednesday 26th April, 2023 – Cole Court, Twickenham

Members and Provincial Guests of Twickenham Mark Lodge of MMM No. 1378 really enjoyed their St Georges Day Dinner in dinning room No 1 at the Twickenham Centre on the 26th of April.

In the Lodge we were treated to the Mark Master Mason Lecture delivered superbly by W. Bro Peter Moore, I a manner which was greatly enjoyed and appreciated by all who attended.

The Deputy Provincial Grand Master V.W. Bro. Steve Vanhinsbergh headed up the Provincial delegation which was a true representation of the reason we are termed the friendly degree.

The Festive Board was a real hoot with a medley of old-time sing-along songs playing in the background to set the ambiance and spirit of the St Georges day celebration.

Once the Loyal and Masonic toasts had been carried out, W. Bro. Peter Hyde presented the brethren with splendid collection of patriotic, traditional, and good old sing-along tunes to which the brethren, adorned in the St George’s bowler hats sung their hearts out in what was a great evening.

Social events are vitally important to carry the ethos of being the friendly degree, I would like to think year on year this will be a permanent fixture for your diaries.
