Dear Brethren
Brethren, in these very worrying times I thought I would send out a message of unity. We are all entering a time of our lives that are unprecedented and most of us are termed “at risk “of this invisible but clearly nasty virus, the last three weeks have seemed to pass uneventfully for me, and I hope it has been the same for you,
During that time Prince Charles, Boris Johnson and Matt Hancock have all tested positive with Boris going on to require intensive care treatment at St Thomas’s Hospital. Thankfully he is now recuperating at chequers, let’s hope he is back leading the country soon.
The idea of this newsletter is to try and remain positive during these testing times and to help us to stay in touch with each other. The newsletter will be sent out monthly, hopefully containing something of interest for everyone.
For now, I wish you all well and please stay safe.
Kind regards

Edward R. Garty (Eddy)
Lodge Almoners

Brethren we have 47 Mark lodges in our Middlesex Province, so 47 different almoners to try and make sure that if anyone is in need of help or assistance, or simply just someone to talk to on the phone, there is someone available to assist. Brethren on the other side if you are requiring assistance please do not hesitate to contact your lodge Almoner. Brethren we are all unassigned almoners, and will all know someone who might value a simple phone call, so let’s keep in touch.
New Mark Website Launched

Brethren, we are pleased to announce a new Mark Website, just put ‘middlesex mark’ in google search or visit the link below and the new site is there for all to enjoy. We hope you like the site and I would publicly like to thank Bro. David North for his due diligence. Brethren this site is very much a work in progress so if you have a story, a photograph or you’re a budding reporter please get in touch, we await your call.

Inter-Provincial Cricket Match

Brethren, I very reluctantly have to inform you that the Inter-Provincial Cricket Match will have to be cancelled, this will be a great shame as we (Middlesex ) were due to host the match as reigning champions. This is something that will be confirmed in a later addition of this Keystone newsletter.
Runnymede Luncheon
Brethren the Provincial Grand Master host’s an annual luncheon at the infamous Runnymede Hotel on the banks of the River Thames near Staines. This is an annual luncheon for all invited active Provincial Grand officers and their wives and partners of the year. But again, this has had to be cancelled.
This Year’s Weekender
Again, brethren, our Provincial Grand Master host’s an annual weekend away in the autumn, previously it has been held at Bournemouth and St, Albans, this year it is due to be held somewhere on the south coast in the Brighton area. Sorry Brethren, I must report this has also been cancelled for this year.
Introducing . . .

Introduced in October 2018 the Middlesex Mark Bonus Ball Draw is a means of raising much needed financial support for the Middlesex Mark Benevolent Fund. It has proved to be a popular method of donating to a most worthwhile charity, whilst at the same time creating a bit of interest and harmless fun each Saturday evening!
How it works is very simple, for a modest sum of £10 subscribers are allocated a number from 1 to 59 and that number is entered into a Game which lasts for 10 weeks and is based on the National Lottery Saturday Night Draw.
If the Bonus Ball number drawn on the National Lottery Saturday Night Draw is your number, you will win £30!
