HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh visited supported families
Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Edinburgh visited Christopher’s in Guildford on Tuesday 6 June, where she was met by some of the children and families we support. The Duchess, our Royal Patron, was received by the our Vice-President, Michael More-Molyneux in his role of HM Lord Lieutenant of Surrey, before spending time talking to children and families and joining in with some exciting arts and crafts activities.

Who’s that behind the mask ?
Comedian and presenter Joel Dommett enjoyed a sunny summer morning spending time with children, young people and their families on Saturday 3 June. Joel joined our monthly drop in session for families, originally arriving disguised in a panda mask, to surprise everyone, before revealing his identity to cries of ‘take it off!’ from children and staff. Everyone had a wonderful time talking, playing games and taking part in plenty of other exciting activities.

Peaceful pottery drop-in session
We welcomed The Portable Pottery Company into our hospice, where pottery expert Claire showed families how to make beautiful clay tile keepsakes. Our drop-in sessions welcome supported children, their siblings, parents and anyone else close to the supported child who would benefit from these inclusive sessions which encourage families to get creative and socialise. Those who joined the pottery session certainly had fun with the earthy-scented clay and interesting design tools. You can find more events like this on our events page.
